rTMS (Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)

In its efforts to bring latest technology to the masses for their betterment Asha hospital in 2012 procured the machinery for Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). Transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to reduce symptoms of depression.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation may be tried when other depression treatments have not worked. rTMS is a non-invasive, safe technique aimed at influencing the behavior of specific neurons or cluster of neurons by repeated stimulation.

This technique is proven to be beneficial for various neurological and psychiatric disorders.
