Asha Hospital in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, an exclusive Psychiatry hospital was started in the year 2003. It is a centre for comprehensive mental health care and provides treatment facilities to all types of mental illnesses with a bet strength of 70. It is founded by a group of well known psychiatrists of the state and is considered as a referral hospital for difficult cases.

It has full time psychiastrist, Psychiatry social workers, Counsellors and Occupational therapist. The hospital is a recognized traiing centre for DNB Course in Psychiatry, B.Sc. and Diploma in Nursing, M.Sc. Psychiatry Nursing, M.Phil in Clinical Psychology MSW students and Trainee doctors.

This hospital is recognized nationally and internationally for research work. It has also taken up community mental health services and doctors of the hospital visit the neighbouring district once a week.

The accomplishment of Asha in providing psychiatric care has given opportunity for opening a separate rehabilitation centre for alcohol and drug addiction(2006) and chronic mentally ill(2010).
